Toenail fungus is a
major problem for many people and finding a
solution that works quickly is hard to find.
If your toes or even fingers show signs of
inflammation, swelling, yellowing, and
thickening or crumbling of the nail, there
is a cure to try.
Something that contributes to toenail fungus
is diabetes. A weak immune system tends to
follow people with diabetes and this makes
them more susceptible to toenail fungus.
Sweaty feet is another factor that promotes
this type of fungus also. Keep your diabetes
in check and your feet dry.
Treating toenail fungus has several home
remedies that some claim to work for them.
Here are some of the
ways to fight toenail fungus we’ve found.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is acidic, it kills
bacteria and fungi that causes toenail
fungus.
A 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and
water will work according to suggestions
we’ve heard.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil fights germs and fungus, which
has helped many with toenail fungus. Mix a
few drops of tea tree oil in one teaspoon of
olive oil and do that for about 10 minutes
at least twice a day.
Baking Soda
A concoction of ½ cup of baking soda, a ¼
cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide, and a ½ cup of
Epsom salt to four cups of hot water. Mix
well and then add a ¼ cup of white vinegar
to it.
Soak the toenail in this mixture for about
ten minutes. You should improvements in a
couple of weeks.
Listerine
Listerine Mouthwash has been suggest as a
foot bath soaking and do this twice daily
for a few weeks and see if that helps kill
the toenail fungus.
We cannot attest to each of these remedies,
but patience and persistence is your best
friend when dealing with toenail fungus.
A more recent toenail fungus application is
called Zetaclear ointment. A few drops of
this daily will show great results we are
told.
